Yamaha WaterCraft Group is proud to receive an Innovation Award from the WSIA (Water Sports Industry Association) for the Yamaha WakeBooster, an accessory that attaches to the stern of Yamaha Boats to create a surfable wake with a nice curl and deeper pocket for easier riding.
New for 2020, Yamaha expanded its reach with the Yamaha WakeBooster and an associated accessory ballast package to fit all Yamaha 19-foot boats, making the entire lineup of 19-24 foot Yamaha boats wakesurfable, even FSH models.
The Yamaha WakeBooster also won an NMMA (National Marine Manufacturer’s Association) innovation award at the 2019 Miami Boat Show.
The innovation awards were presented at the annual WSIA Summit held this year at the Resort at Squaw Creek, in Squaw Valley, CA. Companies and individuals were nominated based on their impact in the towed water sports industry and significant contributions in the areas of innovation, waterway protection, and awareness.
The WSIA is the towed water sports industry’s leading advocate, known for preserving the vitality of water sports activities long into the future. As a group, they develop best practices, maintain waterway access rights, educate participants, promote safety and facilitate sustainable industry growth.
