Yamaha 275 Series Boats Receive International Design Award
Yamaha 2021 Wins Boats Awards 275 Boats

Yamaha's ground-breaking 27-foot 275 Series boats were honored recently with the International Spark Design Award in the Transport category.

Of the hundreds of entries submitted from renowned brands around the world, only 90 submissions in 11 categories impressed the judges enough to earn a winner or finalist position. The Spark mission is to promote better living through better design. The criteria are the same for all Spark competitions: does the design "Spark," i.e., innovate, change the game and in some way help humanity or the environment we live in.

Peter Kuchnicki, the President and CEO of Spark Design Awards, described the judging as “a refreshing time to connect with bright minds and discuss some of the amazing innovations that have come from a difficult year.”

"Our intention with this boat was to take a category that was ripe for innovation and completely turn it on its head with new technology and marine industry first ideas," said Bryan Seti, general manager, Yamaha WaterCraft Group. "Between the DRiVE technology, innovative seating, 500-horsepower propulsion package, high-tech digital display, and premium styling, there isn't a boat on the market quite like 275 series."

The Yamaha 275 Series includes the base model 275E, the more deluxe 275SE, and the flagship 275SD, all powered by twin Yamaha marine engines for a combined 500-horsepower. These yacht-certified models are the largest jet boats that Yamaha offers today.
