For 2021, Yamaha WaterCraft unveils 14 New Boats including a new 25’ jet boat platform plus four new 21’ runabouts. Captain Steve from BoatTest walks you through all of the features , technology and more,.

"Yamaha WaterCraft Group is celebrating its 35th anniversary with a new 25’ (7.62 m) jetboat platform plus four new 21’ (6.40 m) runabouts."
“Coming off a record sales year that saw us sell out of most models, these new products celebrate our line even further,” said Bryan Seti, general manager of Yamaha’s WaterCraft Group. “On the boat side we are moving from 24’ (7.32 m) to 25’ (7.62 m) and innovating to create new levels of technology and luxury; we are extending our DRiVE technology across the line and introducing new wakesurf features that set a new bar for surfing behind a jet boat and we are announcing new 25’ (7.62 m) FSH center-console boats.”
"There are a total of eight new boats beginning with the SX250 and AR250 for buyers on a budget while the 252S and 252SE are a step up in terms of features. The 252XE is equipped with wakesurf-specific and E-series features and the 252SD comes with Yamaha’s DRiVE steering system with paddle-style throttle controls on the steering wheel."
"The 255XE and 255XD have Yamaha’s new electronic push-button controlled integrated WakeBooster plus a triple ballast system. They are powered by twin 1.8L SVHO supercharged marine engines and produce a combined 500 hp. The 255XD also comes with DRiVE, which improves low-speed handling for docking."
The Yamaha 252 FSH Sport and 255 FSH Sport E are new center consoles built on the 25’ (7.62 m) platform. The 252 FSH sport is powered by twin 1.8L High Output engines, while the 255 FSH Sport E has twin 1.8L supercharged SVHO marine engines.
Both new center consoles come with 111-gallon fuel tanks and have full-width bench seating abaft the helm with a backrest that folds down to create a casting platform.
For 2021, Yamaha has expanded its 21’ (6.40 m) runabout line with the 212XD, the 212XE, the 212SD and 212SE models. All feature Yamaha’s E-Series drive-by-wire systems that include push-button start-stop, rpm engine sync and single-throttle lever pairing.
