August 20, 2022 - For 2023, Yamaha introduces an all-new 22-foot platform that builds upon the success of Yamaha's versatile 21-foot center console line that it replaces. In all, there are three new 22-foot FSH® models that come with Yamaha’s best center console technology and features.
Offering sleek lines, agile handling, and superb performance, the new Yamaha 220 and 222 Series center console boats are big, with twin Yamaha marine engines generating up to 360 horsepower.
The new series begins with the value-minded 220 FSH Sport powered by twin 1L TR-1 HO (High Output) engines. Moving up the line is the feature-rich 222 FSH Sport, and at the pinnacle of the series is the premium 222 FSH Sport E with the throttle by wire benefits. Both 222 FSH models feature added performance delivered by twin 1.8L HO motors. All three models come with a fabric or fiberglass-molded T-Top with four "rocket launcher" rod holders.
Fishing Amenities for Anglers
- Storage for eight rods under the gunwales.
- Storage for six rods on the side of the console.
- Aerated 26-gal stern livewell
- Simrad® multi-function display
- Jet Wash® washdown system
The new 22-foot platform continues Yamaha's trend toward contemporary design with its deep cockpit and great freeboard, enabling a spacious interior and large bow and cockpit areas.
Specifically, the new models are nine inches longer, with gunwales two inches higher at the helm and 4-inches higher at the bow than the previous 21-foot line, creating a significantly roomy, comfortable riding experience.
The new 22-foot boats come with an all-new helm with a half-tower design that adds to their striking appearance. Completing the helm is Yamaha's Connext® 3.0 helm system with a 5-inch touchscreen that controls the boat's entertainment and vital system functions, a glass windshield, stainless steel sports steering wheel, a locking glove box, and a 9-inch Simrad® marine electronics system. And for the first time on a Yamaha center console boat, all three models get a wireless-charging phone mount.
Premium Sound System
There's nothing better than hanging out at a favorite cove listening to a great summer playlist. For the best audio experience, the 222 FSH Sport E comes with a premium Hertz® marine sound system with a Hertz® head unit and four deck speakers, and two speakers in the color-matched hardtop.
The leaning post seating is large and comfortable, with plenty of room for two. A bolster provides added height for better visibility, and an angled footrest provide added stability when underway.
Behind the helm is dual, stow-in-place, jump seats, a starboard side 26-gallon live bait well, and a low walkthrough transom for easy access to Yamaha's signature stern lounge area.
Award-winning Swim Up Stern Seating
An innovation first introduced on the luxurious 27-foot 275 Series is swim-up seating. At anchor, two removable seats can be attached to the stern. These seats sit just below the water's surface, providing comfortable in-water seating facing the transom of the boat. And since the reboarding ladder is located between both seat positions, egress onto the swim platform is a breeze. All 22-foot center console boats come standard with mounts for optional swim-up seats.
Renowned Yamaha Jet Drive System
Yamaha boats are more fun to drive because of their nimble handling and instant acceleration. Easy to maintain because there is no water pump or fluids needed. And extraordinarily versatile because Yamaha's jet pump impeller is protected inside the hull, eliminating the need for an exposed lower unit or propeller.
The result is a shallow draft unmatched in its class, allowing access to shallow waters that other brands cannot enter. And because the engines and jet drive system are positioned deep inside the hull, egress and ingress to and from the stern swim platform are unobstructed for added peace of mind.
Signature Yamaha Stern Lounge and Swim Platform
Yamaha boats are renowned for their signature stern lounge area and swim platform that sits right above the waterline. This is the place to be when hanging out at your favorite cove, made possible by Yamaha's "engineless" design and low walkthrough transom.
Completing the stern area are stainless steel beverage holders, remote for the premium sound system, and a telescopic reboarding ladder.
