“Jet boats are white hot. The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) revealed that jet-boat sales were up an astonishing 36.4 percent in 2012…Yamaha, the undisputed jet-boat leader, is using its own FX HO/SHO 1.8L engine on most of its boats. Let’s take a look under the hood and see what’s happening down there.”
2014 line sees all new features, new colors, new graphics, new stereo components and new interiors.
New for this year is the AR192, which along with its SX192 sibling is the first Yamaha boat to come with the supercharged 1.8-liter Super High Output Marine engine. The result is a boat with impressive speed and a compact propulsion system that sits low in the hull.
“We have been telling you about the fast-changing jet boat market lately but one thing that has not changed is Yamaha dominance in this segment. And they plan for it to remain this way, with introductions like the AR192 and its sibling the SX192, deluxe versions of the Yamaha AR/SX190 models introduced last year."
In conjunction with National Safe Boating Week from May 18 to May 24, Yamaha WaterCraft and the BoatUS Foundation for Boating Safety and Clean Water challenge all boaters regardless of their experience to test their boating knowledge with a free, online safety course.
